Horse racing is not only a huge spectator sport in Hong Kong, but has become a whole festive event. Happy Wednesdays in Happy Valley creates a carnival feel with themed nights complete with games, drinks and food.  For something a bit more reserved, you can choose to spend the day in Shatin on Sundays.
